1、 Overview

Accurate flow measurement is performed on pipelines with diameters ranging from 20 to 2000mm, or even larger, using variable diameter rectifiers. With the cooperation of specialized intelligent instruments or conversion modules, it can meet various measurement, output and other needs of different industries such as electricity, heat, metallurgy, chemical industry, urban water supply and heating, building air conditioning, etc. Its application and development prospects are broad.

2、 Working principle of bend tube sensor
When a fluid flows through a pipeline at a certain temperature and pressure, it will undergo corresponding circular rotational motion when passing through an elbow. According to the theory of forced swirling of fluids, the circular motion of fluids in pipelines is similar to the circular motion of solids in space. Therefore, fluids will inevitably generate inertial centrifugal force, which is related to factors such as fluid velocity, fluid density, and the curvature radius of the curved pipe sensor during circular motion.
Due to the known curvature radius of the bend tube sensor, the fluid density flowing through the bend tube sensor can be accurately determined using the host computer by measuring parameters such as temperature and pressure of the fluid. Therefore, the magnitude of the centrifugal force generated on the bend tube sensor is only a function of the fluid flow velocity. As long as the magnitude of centrifugal force is measured (indirectly through a differential pressure transmitter), the flow velocity of the fluid in the pipeline can be measured. The flow rate of the fluid can be calculated and determined by multiplying the flow velocity by the cross-sectional area of the pipeline and the density of the fluid.

3、 Classification of bend tube sensors
elbow flow meterThe primary sensing element - bend tube sensor is divided into the following three types according to the installation on the pipeline:
90 ° bend sensor - used at the 90 ° bend connection of process pipelines, replacing the original bend
180 ° bend pipe sensor - used on straight pipe lines to replace some straight pipe sections
135 ° bend sensor - used at the 135 ° bend connection of process pipelines, replacing the original bend

The two small sections of straight pipes welded on different bend sensors are called pressure gauges, and the one with a longer bend arc length is used for positive pressure measurement in one direction.
